Provides classes for reading and writing the JAR (Java ARchive) file format, which is based on the standard ZIP file format with an optional manifest file. The manifest stores meta-information about the JAR file contents and is also used for signing JAR files.
java.util.jarpackage is based on the following specifications:
|Attributes.Name||The name part of the name/value pairs constituting an attribute as defined by the specification of the JAR manifest.|
|JarEntry||Represents a single file in a JAR archive together with the manifest attributes and digital signatures associated with it.|
|JarInputStream||The input stream from which the JAR file to be read may be fetched.|
|JarException||Signals that an error of some sort has occurred while reading from or writing to a JAR file.|
